Dr. Susan Jatsek

Dr. Susan Jatsek is a Northeast Ohio native and an Ohio State Buckeye through and through. She attended The Ohio State University, receiving a Bachelor of Science in Zoology and Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine. Following graduation, she returned to the Greater Cleveland area. After working for several years in a large group practice in North Royalton, she began her own practice in Independence. Her new practice, Independence Veterinary Hospital, officially opened in 1991.

Dr. Jatsek is a 35+ year member of the American Veterinary Medical Association. She is a member and a past president of the Cleveland Academy of Veterinary Medicine.  As a Lifetime Member of The Ohio State University Alumni Association, she is always rooting for her Ohio State Buckeyes.

When not taking care of her three boys, Dr. Jatsek enjoys working in her yard and home life. She and her family enjoy the Cleveland sports teams and vacationing at the beach. She is a "basketball mom", following her eldest son's high school and travel basketball teams.  Rounding out the family is "Swizzle", a Siamese mix, who keeps everyone entertained.
